基因治疗包括 mRNA 和 DNA 疫苗这些新兴疗法都会使用到质粒，这些质粒基本都是通过大肠杆菌发酵而得。一般而言，病毒载体和 mRNA 所需要的质粒生产规模为百升级别。一次性反应器快速的批间切换能力以降低交叉污染风险的特性，更适用于多种质粒的快速放大生产。这篇文章的主要目的是建立质粒放大生产工艺，考察 XDR 200 MO 反应器在 160L 规模下质粒的放大生产性能，确认 XDR 200 与 5L 玻璃罐在质粒产量和SC 比例方面是否具有可比性。
